Celebrate Pride Month!

Pride month is an opportunity to raise political awareness of current issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community. Parades are a prominent feature of Pride month, and there are many street parties, community events, poetry readings, public speaking, street festivals, and educational sessions, all of which are covered by mainstream media and attract millions of participants.

Pride Month is important because it marks the start of significant change within the LGBT+ community and has wider societal implications. Although attitudes and injustice still persist, we have come a long way, and by continuing this long-standing tradition, we raise awareness, improve societal attitudes, and encourage inclusiveness.
